Ice Cream Social

The Northside Children's Community Library (NCCL) is having an old fashioned ice cream social at Douglas Park in Springfield on Tuesday, June 4 from 5:30 to 9:00.  The social is being held in conjunction with the first Springfield Municipal Band Concert of the season. A piece of homemade cake or slice of pie and ice cream will be $4. Bottled water and iced tea will also be available for $1.

The Northside Children’s Community Library is a place for area children to check out books, do homework, use computers and enjoy all that a library can offer. Staffed by a paid coordinator and a crew of volunteers, the library adds a new and important resource for the community. The library is located in the lower level of Third Presbyterian Church and is open to all area children up to age 14. Library hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
